Catch Up

I know it has been a while since I have posted. We have been going through lots of changes in our little family. First Brian started school so he leaves the house at 7:00 am and doesn't get home until after 9:00 pm. I started staying home during he day with Desmond and working at night so I go to work at 8:00 pm and get home at 4:30 am. So I have had no time to do anything. Here is some of what we have been up to.
Each year my family tries to go to Lagoon we went this year in September it was a lot of fun to go as a family and ride the rides. Desmond loved going on the Mary go round.

My littel sister Heather got married in October it was very pretty and she made a beautiful bride. It was so fun going with her to pick out her dress.

Halloween 2010 we dressed Desmond up as a Dragon the cutest one ever. My parents came up and took us to dinner and then we took Desmond out to a couple of our neighbors to go trick or treating. It was so much fun.

Thanksgiving this year we spent it at my parents house. Desmond loved his food so much he mixed it all together. Lets just say my mom made us put bags all around him so that food wouldn't get all over her floor. Its a good thing she did cause he got it all over the bags.

24th Weekend

This was Desmond's first 24th we had so much fun. B and I had Friday off so we slept in late and then got ready and headed down to Sanpete. My dad was mowing the lawn and Desmond was fascinated with the riding lawn mower so we let him go on a ride with grandpa and he loved every minute of it.
Then Brian, Tyler and I got up super early on Saturday like 5:00 am to go golfing the way I played I should have stayed in bed. Then we came home got ready and headed to the Fairview parade there was so many people there. We then headed up to the Jorgensen's cabin up Fairview canyon it was so fun to see everyone and to be up the in beautiful mountains with family and friends. We then headed back to Betty and Jan's and let Desmond and Whitney swim it was so fun to watch them. Looking at the pictures you would think that they are the same age but no Desmond it 5 month younger.
Then we hung out and relaxed until Brian and I had to go get Nicole from Fairview. Well on our way there we were about a mile outside of Fairview and we hit a deer are whole front of our car is wrecked and we told Nicole that it was all her fault. It was so scary and funny at the same time cause the weekend before on our way down to my parents house we about hit a deer. Brian swerved to miss it so we said it was our final destination we cheated hitting that one so that's why we hit this one. We then slept in and headed back up home on Sunday.
It was a great weekend. Thanks Tyler, Jessica and Whitney for the fun weekend.

Bryce Marathon

For the past 2 1/2 months Brian and I have been training for a 1/2 marathon down in Bryce Canyon. The marathon was on July 17. Our amazing friend Laura helped us with a schedule to get prepared for it. We have been running every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday's. My little sister Heather decided she was going to do it with us she didn't really train so we didn't know if she was going to make it. On July 3 our schedule was to run 13 miles to see if we could do it. Brian, Heather and I drove to Ftn Green left our car and ran from there back to Moroni around the Middle school and back to my parent running 12.3 miles which was pretty good so we felt we were going to be ok. Brain and I took off work Friday the 16 so that we could get down there early and relax. We left on Thursday night and stayed at my parents so that they could watch Desmond. We left Friday at 12:00 pm and got to Marysville and got stuck in construction for 25 min it was horrible.

We finally made it to Bryce at about 4:00 pm. We checked into our hotel and settled in. We had to drive the race to check in we couldn't believe how much down hill we were going to have to run and we felt good see what the run was going to be. We got all checked in for the race and went to dinner with Heather, Cameron and Colton then went back and got ready for bed.

Before
We had to be to the starting line by 6:00 am when we got up to the starting line we couldn't believe how many people there was. The race began and we felt great we were running 9 min miles and we felt like we were making great time. By mile 8 we started to slow down. Heather was running with us the whole time and then she said she was going to walk for a while so we went a head with out her. By mile 10 I was ready to quit but Brian was not going to let that happen she stayed with me the whole time pushing me and helping me get through it. We made it to the finish line at 2 hours and 19 min we felt really good about it. Brian could have made it a lot faster but he wouldn't leave me your the best babe I am so glad we did this it was such a great experience.

After
We are planning on running another one on Aug 28 in Logan and we hope to improve our time. We got ready and left back to Sanpete that night we knew what we had done I have never been that sore ever. Sunday neither one of us could move I think by Wednesday we finally didn't walk like we had been riding a horse all day.

He is in the program this year we can't wait. Our lives are going to change for the next two years but it is going to be well worth it.On June 29th I went to Eclipse with my best friend Steph and some ladies from Sanpete along with my sister in law Jessica it was so much fun to see it before it came out that night. Then Jessica and I went again to the 12:30 am showing it was so worth getting only 2 hours of sleep to go watch it twice thanks Steph and Jessica for the great night.

Brian's Surgery

Brian's surgery went very well. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and fasting before he went in. Last week was such a blur. Sunday Brian and I were able to go to B's sisters for our nephew's birthday which was so much fun. B had asked his brother Ty and brother in law Maurico to give him a blessing. It was such a wonderful blessing I cried the whole time and could not believe how much I could feel the spirit. Then on Monday my amazing sister in law Jessica made us dinner and her and Ty and Whitney came over to eat. I was GREAT thanks again. Then the fast began. B and I went to bed that night but I think between the two of us we slept about 4 hours. We got up on Tuesday at 4:30 am and got ready to leave. Thank you Shelly for taking Desmond until my mother in law made it up here. We got to the hospital and they informed us that he would go in at 8:30 am. I can't tell you all of the things that was going through my mind. The Dr had told us that it would take 2 1/2 to 3 hours for the surgery so I settled myself in for the wait. My heart dropped when the Dr came in after an hour and half. I thought what happened is he ok. The Dr informed me that everything went GREAT and that he was in the recovery room and that his spleen weight about 5 or 6lbs. I waited for an hour and then they told me the room he would be in . So I headed up to the room. I waited there for another 20 min for him to arrive. When he finally came he was feeling pretty good. When I knew that he was good I went home to get Desmond packed for his week in Sanpete and to let Betty go see B. My parents came later that day and we got Desmond's stuff ready for them to take down. It was so sad to have him leave we missed him so much. He got to spend Tuesday night and Wednesday morning with Grandma J and then went to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Fredrickson.

Brian and I spend Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning at the hospital with B hooked up to is epidural, Iv and everything else they had on him. I stayed home from work to help him out I don't think we realized how major this surgery was and I am so glad that my boss and co workers are so amazing to understand me being gone. Thanks to everyone that came to see him and the phone calls.

I want to thank our amazing ward we have been getting dinner brought to us every night since Wednesday the food has been so great and it has been such a stress reliever for me not having to worry about it. Shelly I want to tell you THANK YOU so much I don't know what I would do without you. You are the greatest friend ever!

Easter

This was Desmond's first Easter and it was a lot of fun. We got up on Saturday morning packed up and headed down to Sanpete. We hung out with my family then B and my dad went to the priesthood session of conference. While they were gone My mom, Nicole, Desmond and I colored Easter eggs and Desmond was having fun rolling around in the plastic eggs my mom put on the floor for him to play with.
When they got back B was complaining that his spleen was really swollen and that he was not feeling good at all. So he called Jan to ask him what he thought he should do. He told him to go the the ER and so we did. We headed down to Gunnison were they took his blood and gave him a CT scan. They came back and told us that his blood count was very low at 28 and asked if he wanted a transfusion of course he wouldn't do it. Then they told him that his spleen was really big and should really get it out. We have known that he should have it out for the last three years but he just kept putting it off. Well they released him and we went back to my parents for the night. Sunday morning the Easter bunny found Desmond he got two new spring outfits a car and a cute basketball basket. Grandma and Grandpa gave him an outfit, shirts, PJ, bubbles and a pez. Well we watched conference and got dinner ready. My brother Jason and my sister in law Mandy came we ate an amazing dinner and watch conference. We then left and came home.

Monday B called and got an appointment for the surgeon to see him on Wednesday he went to work and when he got home was so tired and still had a swollen spleen. Tuesday B stayed home from work not feeling good at all so Desmond and him played and slept all day. On Wednesday we met with the surgeon and he told B that he has worked with a lot of spleens before but never any as big as his. They set up the surgery for Tuesday April 13. They had to give him three shots and of course that wouldn't go smoothly he either had a reaction to the shots of an infection his arm swelled up and was so hot and red. Now he is on medicine for that. Thanks Mike for coming over and easing my mind with looking at it. Thanks to Shelly for taking Desmond Friday and Saturday while B slept and I got my house clean I don't know what I would do without you. I can't wait for Tuesday to come and be over so B will finally feel better. Love you and I hope it all goes good.
To make things even better Desmond started cutting his two bottom teeth so I have to little baby boys to take care of.

Spring Break

This weekend B, Desmond and I went to Beaver Dam with my parents little sister and her friend (also B and I cousin). First my dad called us Thursday afternoon wanting us to go down so we scrambled around trying to find people to take our lessons and getting everything ready so that we could leave when B got off of work. Friday I got off of work came home feed Desmond started packing thinking I had until seven or eight to be ready. Well B called at 5:30 pm saying they let him leave early and that he was on his way home. I hurried to get as much packed as I could before he got home. We got the car pack up and headed out of Salt Lake at 6:30 pm. We got to Fillmore to stop for a drink and stretch our legs Desmond was glad to get out for a while. We then headed down to road to hit SNOW yes SNOW (that word is a swear word in my vocabulary). Well we drove in between 35 to 45 from Filmore to Cedar the longest two hours of my life by then Desmond was ready to be out of his car seat he was so fussy. Well we finally made it to Beaver Dam to my aunts house at 12:30 am. Everyone was so glad to see Desmond so of course we didn't lay him down until almost 2:00 am. Then we all finally went to sleep.
Saturday B and I were woken up by are little angel at 7:00 am yes 7:00 am. He was so happy and was not going back to sleep. We tried everything but no he wasn't having it. Finally grandma and grandpa got up and wanted to play with him so we handed him off and B and I went for a run it was so nice to run outside in short sleeves and shorts and not be cold. We then all got ready and drove to St George. We dropped the boys off at the golf course I was a little sad I didn't get to go but it was my choice not to. I decided to go shop with the girls and we had fun plus I really didn't want to leave Desmond with grandma for five hours. Well we went to the mall and go Desmond a car stroller he was having a ball in it. He definitely has Fredrickson blood in him he already loves cars. Well after a day of shopping and golf we headed back to Beaver Dam and got freshened up for Dinner in Mesquite. We ate and then we went bowling it was so much fun. We then went back and went to bed.

Sunday morning our angel got us up again at 7:30 am but my amazing mom was awake so she came and got him and let B and I go back to bed. Thanks mom your the best. We then got up got packed and headed out at about 2:00 pm. We stopped in St George for dinner with my parents and then headed on our way home. We made it to Payson with no problems when we seen the traffic coming to a complete stop so we deiced to get off the exit and take a detour. So glad we did we found out later that a trailer with cows rolled and traffic was stopped for two hours. We really would have been in trouble cause by the time we hit Pleasant Grove Desmond had had it and he cried the rest of the way home. We had so fun regardless. Thanks mom, dad, Nicole and Miranda for the great weekend.
